Happy Birthday, Alex!

 

My sweet Bug-

19...19 precious years you have been mine. Oh what a life we have lived. We have walked side by side through some of the hardest days. We have shared so many fears and so many tears. But your life has been so much more than that. We have shared so many amazing moments and so much joy and laughter. When I thought about being a mom, I thought I would teach my children. I hope I have taught you to be kind, to find the good in everything and everyone and most importantly to rely on your faith. But my amazing son, you have taught me so much more. You have shown me courage and strength beyond what I knew could exist. You have taught me what it looks like to be so comfortable in your own skin even when it isn't what the world expects or wants. You are so quick to apologize when you are wrong and to forgive when someone has wronged you. You challenge me to think about and discuss hard things. I hope not a day passes that you don't know how truly incredible you are and how you impact everyone who  has the honor of being in your life. God has amazing plans for you. I am so grateful I am the one he chose to be with you on this journey.

I love you more than you will ever know. You will always me by favorite boy!
