Happy Birthday Alex!
I cannot believe you are 17. What a crazy, amazing 17 years we have had. My whole life I dreamed of being a mother and you made that dream come true. I can so clearly remember holding you and cuddling you and playing with you and I miss those times, but how I love our friendship now. I love having deep conversations with you about our world. I love watching shows with you. I love watching you change this world. Your life has never been easy, but you live with so much grace and strength, with bravery and with joy. You inspire every one who meets you to be better. But most of all me Bug. Thank you for teaching me to be better, to fight for those I love, to have more faith, to always choose joy. I thank God every day for the gift of every one of your 6, 205 days with me! I love you!
