Summer is here!

 Summer is here and with it the hot temps of Texas,  but also time for us to slow down some and enjoy time all together.

Alex is required to do a Psych Internship for his Clinical Psychology major and so he is in the midst of that for the next few months. He loved his first week and is excited to continue to immerse himself in the Pain Management Program at Cook's to decide if that is truly the direction he would like to go. He was really excited to have the first doctor ask his opinion on treatment plans and also to get to see some inpatient rounds. He also got tickets and took Maddy to see Hadestown which they both loved. They want to get season tickets so they can go see more shows together.

What more could you want in your summer!

Maddy has been busy at the barn (always) and also preparing for her Spring Ballet recital. We truly are blessed with the best people in our life and one of the people at the top of that list is Ms. Joli, Maddy's dance teacher. She truly believes in building a community and that is so evident in everything she does. Maddy has two dance classes a week. One is a private ballet lesson where she treasures her one on one time with Ms. Joli and then she has a class with 3 other homeschooled girls. The friendship between these girls is so sweet and special. And Ms. Joli's is the only place in her life she chooses to take a leadership role!

Newman is the BEST boy ever!

The kids and I are getting ready to head to Florida to see My mom and sister and Celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday! What a whirlwind this summer already is, but we wouldn't change it for anything!
