My mom recently moved from the Myrtle Beach area that she has called home for most of the past 18 years to Florida to be closer to my sister. When I first talked to the kids about visiting they were unsure. They love their time with Mimi each summer, but change is hard and we have years of memories and traditions in South Carolina not to mention reminders of PopPop that we treasure. But both kids had a great week and I feel confident we will make new memories in a new place. Not to mention we had so much fun with my sister and her family!

The first order of business was toasting to PopPop!

It was a whirlwind of a week as we tried to squeeze way too much into our time! We started the vacation by spending two days in St Augustine soaking up the history and ghost stories as we celebrated Alex's 21st birthday!

We also spent a few days at the beach which we always love!
We made a day trip across the state to visit my Dad.
And we finished the week in Ocala so Maddy could see the World Equestrian Center!
And what would a trip to Florida be without some alligators?
It was a week doing what we love with the family we wish we could see more often. Now we are home and prepping for the World Shows Maddy competes in over the summer. Alex is enjoying his time relaxing and recouping before starting his Junior year at DBU!
